Your experience

Day 1 – Arrival in Håverud

Your journey begins by the water in Håverud, where the iconic Håverud Aqueduct and canal set the scene for the days ahead.
You check in at Håveruds Hotell and let the pace slow down. Here, you stay with views of the canal and nature just around the corner.
In the evening, a buffet dinner is served in the hotel restaurant.
A first night to arrive, unwind, and enjoy good food and stillness before the adventure begins.

Day 2 – Onto the Water

After breakfast with a view, your lunch pack is prepared and your canoe or kayak awaits at the dock.
You set out into Dalsland’s vast lake system, paddling through lakes, straits, and locks where water connects the landscape. The pace is entirely your own.
Throughout the day, you make your way through nature until you reach Swedish Country Living.
Here, your private, architect-designed cabin awaits by the water.
The evening ends with dinner and quiet moments in a setting where nature is an integral part of the experience.

Day 3 – Embracing the Stillness

You wake to the silence of the lake.
Breakfast is served in the Orangery, and the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
Paddle, hike, swim, or simply take in your surroundings.
In the evening, prepare dinner in the outdoor kitchen or enjoy a meal featuring ingredients from the farm. Fire, water, and the night sky become a natural part of your evening.

Day 4 – Return Across the Water

After breakfast, it’s time to paddle back through the lake system.
The return journey offers one final moment of stillness on the water before arriving once again in Håverud and Håveruds Hotell.
In the evening, a gastronomic experience awaits at Disponentvillan.
A tasting menu is served in the historic villa — a dinner that reflects the region’s ingredients and the changing seasons.

Day 5 – A Gentle Departure

After your final night at the hotel, breakfast is served before departure. Over the past few days, you have experienced Dalsland from perhaps its most beautiful perspective, from the water.
From the cultural heritage surrounding the aqueduct to the stillness of the forest.
From gastronomy to the simplicity of nature.

A journey where the path between destinations is just as meaningful as the destination itself.
